December Luncheon! New Vision & New Ways to Help Your Business Succeed
Sara Vescio, Executive Director of the Women’s Business Center at Canisius will our December Luncheon Guest Speaker. Her goal at the center is to help entrepreneurs succeed by bringing them education, connection, and community. Sara spearheads training programs in networking, business planning, financing, HR, social media, MWBE Certifications, and much more. She works diligently to make the Center a hub for women business owners in the area to help them connect with the people they need to know. Sara encourages Center members to join in on the wide variety of programs and to actively participate in the WNY Business Community. The women who are involved in the Center are encouraged to support one another and collaborate so that all will succeed!
Since joining the WBC she quickly established connections within the business community of Western New York in an effort to expand the network and opportunity provided for the WBC clients. These include building on relationships with collaborative partners such as the New York SBDC (Small Business Development Center), SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives), NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners), and the Small Business Administration (SBA) Buffalo District and Canisius College. As well as new relationships with organizations such as WNY Women’s Foundation, The Commission for the Status of Women, WEDI, First Niagara Foundation, Veteran’s One-Stop Center, the Better Business Bureau and many more like the Ken-Ton Chamber.
Topics discussed will include:
- WBC's new vision is to be the “Home of Woman Entrepreneurship” in WNY that creates economic opportunities and solutions for women through all stages of business.
- Training and programs that are available
- The importance of partnerships and collaborations (such as this event) with other entrepreneurial and women based organizations.
